As much as I liked the old website, and I put a lot of work into figuring out how to customize the templates, it was a colossal pain in the butt to update. The admin side was also buggy – it would log me out randomly all the time for example. If I knew more about website things it probably wouldn’t have been such an issue. But I decided to start over. Again. This is the fourth iteration. And it’s coming in slowly. I’m using WordPress because I keep being told it is easy. I’m not 100% convinced. So far, it seems like if you have single purpose website — a blog for example, or your professional portfolio or a store – it’s pretty easy. But if you want to have a multipurpose website, that seems less straightforward. At least that’s the way it appears when I’m looking at the templates. Maybe not. As I said, I’m just starting out here.
