I don't remember when I first heard a theremin or first learned what a theremin was, but I've definitely been interested in them for at least 20 years. After years of "not getting around to it", I'm finally building them. My first was an optical theremin project Electronic Musician published back in the early 1990s, which I used to control my MiniMoog (it is actually an optical CV controller). In 2003 I got around to building my first real theremin. We'll see where things go from there.
