nor dedicated enough to write a blog, so this will have to do.
My name is Joe. I design sound for theatrical productions by vocation. I also teach.
One could divide my interests into these categories:
- sound design: my primary pursuit
- maker: things I made
- listener: jangly pop to death metal and everything in between
- recycler: the art of plundering / the plundering of art
- ranter: occasionally I get the urge to shoot off my mouth (or fingers) about something
- viewer: entertainment media--- print and film
- jagoff: stupid stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else

12 February 2011 - Google's image search turns up some interesting results. The Google iPhone app has a function that enables you to take a photo of something and then create a search based on that image. I haven't have the chance to try it until last night. My mom was wondering if this little friar mug, which has been used as storage for match books in her kitchen for as long as I can remember, was actually worth anything. I snapped a shot of the mug and did a search - this was the top result:
Turns out it's a Goebel Friar Tuck Mug (Hummel T74/1 marked with a full bee in an incised circle) made in the mid 1950s and worth around $45. I think the other is the butt of a wild boar.
8 February 2011 - I hate being this busy. When I'm working there are a dozen things I'm looking forward to getting to and when I'm home I'm too tired to do any of them.
5 January 2011 - Off the grid for a while. Busy busy busy so down time is very precious right now.
5 December 2010 - Lots of updates, spelling corrections, grammar corrections and content holes plugged. Not all, but many.
14 November 2010 - In the process of putting my iPhone photos on Low-Rez Heaven, my cell phone photo site, I deleted all the old photos. Seems like a good time to rethink the page....
