Welcome to a bit of my world. I'm neither compulsive enough nor dedicated enough to write a blog, so this will have to do.
My name is Joe. I design sound for theatrical productions by vocation. I also teach.
One could divide my interests into these categories:

- sound design: my primary pursuit
- maker: things I build which often involve inhaling lead fumes
- listener: jangly pop to death metal and everything in between
- recycler: the art of plundering / the plundering of art
- ranter: occasionally I get the urge to shoot off my mouth (or fingers) about something
- viewer: entertainment media--- print and film
- jagoff: stupid stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else
